Youth Villages:Flash Proposals

1) The flash page will be the introduction to the home page of Youth Villages. A prospective adoptive/foster parent, or volunteer seeking to help children build successful family relationships will travel through a animated village via a lane/road. The lane will wind it's way to an illustrated home. While the road is winding to the home, inspirational words that exemplify the goals of Youth Villages will appear on the screen (build, care, foster, etc). Finally the Youth Village motto will appear "Helping children and families live successfully". The hand logo for Youth Villages will appear on the door of the house, and the link "Enter" will invite the site visitor to the home page. The overall feel should be light and childlike.

2) When the visitor enters the site from a banner ad posted on a web-page with information on adoption for prospective parents they will be lead to the a flash page. The introduction will read "Finding homes for waiting children" at the top and rows of children waiting to find families will appear one by one. After the last photo has appeared a link will appear under the "Finding homes for waiting children" reading "Meet our children" Once the page is entered small clickable icons of children will appear on the right hand side of page with a linked button above the reading "Meet Our Children." This enables the photos to be an integral part of the page even if the visitor entered the page in a way other than from a banner ad. The main part of the page however will be a small anecdote about an adopted child and his/her family. The focus of this page will be on the children and their individual stories and the feel has a more serious and emotional tone.

3) A DVD available to those who are interested in the services that Youth Villages provides to children with behavior mal-adjustment as well as research will be introduced to further information via a splash page with heavy focus on the youth village logo. The link to to the website to find out more information about Youth Villages programs will appear at the end of the the Informational DVD. The introduction page will be simple and playful with the handprint logo being repeated over and over agin at varying sizes in a fast med-fast pace. The handprint stamps vill cover the page until the final large handprint makes it's stamp revealing an illustrated home setting with an "Enter" invitation.
